Programs

The work we are doing — and the work we are building toward.

Each program below describes the actual scope of our work today, and where ACA is headed next as funding, partners, and volunteers come in.

Current Programs

Service Visits to Pasco County Veterans

A holiday service program where ACA students visit veterans at VA nursing homes in Pasco County. The kids bring conversation, gifts, and respect; the veterans give the kids a generation's worth of stories and the experience of showing up for someone else. Both sides walk away with something they didn't have before.

Care Packages for Military Families

Care packages assembled and distributed to children of military families in the Tampa Bay area. MacDill Air Force Base is in our backyard, and these packages mark the Month of the Military Child each spring — deliberate reminders that the community sees these kids and their parents.

Year-round

Community Engagement

Local events that connect families, volunteers, and partner organizations across the Bay area — the social fabric our other programs are stitched into, and the place where new ideas and partnerships begin.

Where We Are Growing

The next chapter.

These are the programs ACA is working toward. They are listed here so families, donors, and partners can see the full direction of the work as funding and volunteers arrive.

A Tampa Bay Resource Hub

An online resource hub for families of special-needs children in the Tampa Bay area — a single place to find services, support networks, and information that's actually local.

Each of these will become real with a partner, a funded grant, or a volunteer who shows up. If any of them are close to something you care about, we'd love to talk.
